The San Juan Shooters shoot at the San Juan Range near Montrose Colorado. Matches are generally the second Saturday of each month with the exception of June (no match) and November (first Saturday). World Shootoff Championship match and the Winchester Challenge. The range also puts on a wide variety of Cowboy matches on a year around basis. Visit the range website at: http://www.sanjuanrange.comSan Juan Shooters matches are usually 5 stages each month including a classifier stage. Round count is usually in the 100-150 round range although you should always bring some extra as we usually have some steel and sometimes the course designer gets a little carried away and the round count goes way up. There is usually a special classifier match in the spring and there is also Western Colorado Section Qualifier match sometime during the year that counts toward the yearly section championship along with matches at our sister clubs in Gunnison (High Country Practical Shooters) and Steamboat Springs (Yampa Valley Practical Shooters). Monthly matches start at 10:00 a.m. but help is always needed before the match to finish setup and stapling of targets.
USPSA Approved Matches are generally held the 2nd Saturday of each month. Match dates are tentative, please check back often and always call ahead to be sure of the match date before driving to the range.
